S-Filer Portal™ is a complete solution that enables large and small organizations to meet all of their enterprise needs for secure file transfer and storage.
OKIOK RELEASES VERSION 4.20.1 OF S-FILER/PORTAL™ SECURE TRANSFER SOLUTION
Changes
Using two “Azure Applications” for SAML authentication and adoption
It is now required to use two Azure applications in order to benefit from SAML authentication in combination with user adoption. This change follows a modification made by Microsoft that no longer allows the same application to be used for both requirements.
Email is now optional for quick send
It is no longer necessary to pass the “emails” parameter when using the REST API for quick send. The parameter is now optional. When the value is not provided, the API will generate a link to retrieve the file. No notification will be sent in this case. Other request parameters, if provided, will be ignored. The generated link will follow this format:
[Base URL (e.g.: https://sfiler.okiok.com/sfiler)]/downloadprocessor?uuid=" + transferContext.fileVersions[0].fileVersionId
New Features
New options in the notification themes import command
The theme import command has been modified to facilitate the process. Two new options are now available:
- “dry-run”, an option that simulates the import process without actually executing it.
- “force-import”, an option that allows the import to execute even if certain errors are present.
JDBC drivers are now distributed with the solution
Previously, the standard installation procedure required JDBC drivers to be placed in a specific directory on the server. Following a modification to the license agreement of various drivers, this is no longer necessary. The drivers will now be updated along with the solution.
Using variables for notification themes “Layout”
Version 4.20.0 of the solution moved notification themes from the file system to the database. However, this migration resulted in the inability to use variables in what we call the “Layout”. The “Layout” is the common area for different notifications, which typically includes a banner and footer. It will now be possible to do this from this version, in the same way as the different notifications.
Additionally, this update expands the availability of variables across all notifications.
Bug Fixes
- A malfunction caused the default theme to be systematically applied during transfers when it was not filled in, instead of leaving a blank value and applying the current default theme when required.
- URL parameters were not properly relayed when a request went through the GUI Proxy to reach a server REST API endpoint.
- Fixed the file deletion process in the quick send screen, which caused some files to be sent despite their removal.
- A user group inherits the default theme if no specific selection is made, but will not be assigned the actual theme value in the database.
- Return of the “imageurl” variable in notification themes, which had been erroneously removed in the previous version.
- Fixed an error where the user’s role was not preserved during the account synchronization process.
- Fixed the propagation of the “origUrl” variable in the authentication process.
- Fixed an error in the SAML client cache that rendered the ReplyURL incorrect.
Known Issues
There are currently no known issues with this version.
This upgrade requires a database update. We strongly recommend performing a full backup of the solution before updating. Do not hesitate to contact our support group if you have any questions regarding this upgrade. support@okiok.com
