MANAGEMENT
Éric Vigeant PresidentÉric Vigeant has been President of OKIOK since December 2021 and has over 25 years of experience in the analysis, development and diagnosis of security software. His involvement with OKIOK began in 1994 when he worked on an ad hoc basis in the family business founded by his grandfather. He joined the company full-time in 2007 as a developer. In 2018 he became Vice President Security Solutions responsible for the development of OKIOK’s cybersecurity solutions.
From 2007 to 2011, he realized numerous projects related to cryptography, embedded security software (HSM and PINPAD) and authentication and authorization. In 2011, he carries out architecture and integration mandates for security solutions in large energy and telecommunications companies. Since 2016, he specializes in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and leads the development of the RAC/M Identity solution.
Éric Vigeant holds a master’s degree in artificial intelligence from McGill University. He is recognized as an expert in the field of identity and access management (IAM) due to his expertise in identity governance and administration (IGA), web access management (WAM) and single sign-on for the web and enterprises.
His responsibilities include technical architecture and software development for several of OKIOK’s key solutions, as well as large-scale projects in complex technological and organizational environments in the financial and energy sectors.
- Michel De Marinis Vice-President - Business Development
Michel De Marinis has been Vice President of Sales and Marketing since 2018. He joined OKIOK in
2007 where he gained solid experience in information security at the strategic, tactical and technical levels initially as Business Development Manager from 2007 to 2012 and then as Senior Manager from 2012 to 2018.Responsible for business development and account management activities for large-scale clients, his active involvement with all of his clients has enabled him to develop a solid understanding of the security issues facing organizations over the years.
His deep understanding of security issues allows him to effectively advise his clients on their information security needs, but particularly on governance, compliance, penetration testing, monitoring and incident management.
In addition to his duties at OKIOK, Michel De Marinis has been involved with ASIMM as a director on the board from 2009 to 2016, including as President in 2013-2014.
- François-Xavier Desmarais Vice-President - Professional Services
François-Xavier Desmarais is a recognized expert in cybersecurity with over 12 years of dedicated experience in digital forensics, penetration testing, and incident response. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering and a Master’s in Computer Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, he joined OKIOK in 2012. His career has been distinguished by his active role in research and development, contributing cutting-edge advancements in cybersecurity and safeguarding sensitive information.
At OKIOK, François-Xavier has steadily risen through the ranks, advancing from penetration testing consultant to team lead, then senior director, and ultimately Vice President of Professional Services in 2024. In this role, he oversees teams specializing in penetration testing, cybersecurity consulting, digital forensics, and incident response. He is known for his rigorous approach and ability to lead strategic initiatives in cybersecurity, ensuring the resilience and security of clients’ digital infrastructures.
With extensive experience and top-tier certifications, including CISM, GCFE, and EnCE, François-Xavier is a prominent leader in his field. He regularly speaks at specialized industry conferences and publishes work on application security and data protection topics, applying his expertise to continuously strengthen cybersecurity practices.
- MAXIME DE MARINIS Vice-President - Finance
Maxime De Marinis has been Vice President of Finance since 2022. He has extensive experience in cybersecurity and finance. From 2010 until his arrival at OKIOK, he held positions in accounting, software implementation and project management.
He joined OKIOK in 2016 as Director of Business Development. His understanding of security issues and his interest in the “services – consulting” aspect of the profession quickly lead him to the position of Director of Professional Services in 2018
With its experience as a Director of Professional Services, Director of Business Development, Project Manager, Software Implementation Consultant and Accountant, Mr. De Marinis has strong problem solving, customer relations, personnel management, internal accounting controls and financial analysis skills.
Mr. De Marinis is recognized by his peers as an inclusive and involved leader who does not hesitate to do what is necessary to contribute to the team’s success first and foremost.
